Grove United is proud to announce that Henry Pittman has signed with the club’s NPSL squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Pittman joins the NPSL side after serving as the starting goalkeeper for Grove United’s UPSL squad last season, playing a key role in a strong fall campaign that saw the team finish second in the league standings, missing first place by just one point.
A commanding presence in goal, Henry established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the squad with his shot-stopping ability, leadership, and composure under pressure. His consistency throughout the season provided stability at the back and helped anchor one of the league’s strongest defensive units.
Henry’s progression into the NPSL squad reflects both his performance over the past year and the continued pathway within Grove United for players to move into higher levels of competition.
Pittman expressed his excitement about taking the next step with the club.
“This is a very special moment in my career,” Pittman said. “The opportunity to step into the NPSL environment with Grove United is a big step for me, and I’m excited to continue developing my game and challenging myself at a higher level.”

Director of Goalkeeping Adran Clewlow also praised Pittman’s growth and potential.
“Henry has worked incredibly hard over the past year and has taken major steps forward in his development,” said Clewlow. “He’s a goalkeeper with excellent instincts, strong athleticism, and a real presence in the box. With strong athleticism, excellent shot-stopping instincts, and the ability to organize the defense in front of him, Pittman brings the qualities of a next-level goalkeeper to the Grove United NPSL squad.
Pittman also highlighted the impact of Grove United’s player development pathway on his rapid progression over the past year.
“Grove’s player pathway has been phenomenal,” Pittman said. “In just one year, I progressed from playing with my age group to gaining semi-professional experience in both the UPSL and APSL leagues, which has been instrumental in preparing me for the transition to NPSL.”
